Thomas was the son of Thomas Rand born in England and Sarah Rdenden. Thomas, 1 Feb 1657, married, 17 June 1679, Sarah Longley at Charlestown. He drowned in the Mystic river in a canoe accident along with his wife, Sarah, on October 3, 1695. The river flows from the Lower Mystic Lake and travels through the Boston-area communities of Arlington, Medford, Somerville, Everett, Charlestown, Chelsea, and East Boston.
