About Thomas Robinson, Jr.
Biography
Christening: 05 Mar 1652/53, Second Church, Scituate, Massachusetts, USA Thomas Robinson the eldest son of Thomas Robinson and Mary (Woodey) Robinson, was born in Scituate, Massachusetts in 1652/53.[citation needed] He married Sarah Denison, daughter of Edward Denison, of Roxbury, Mass., whose brother Daniel Deniso was major-general of the Massachusetts colony during King Philip's war.[citation needed] Thomas inherited part of his father's homestead and also inherited property from his maternal grandfather, John Cogan (father of his mother who was the widow of John Woodey at the time of her second marriage).[citation needed] Thomas was a cordwainer (a shoemaker who makes new shoes from new leather).[citation needed] Thomas married Sarah Dennison [sic.] circa 1676.[1]
He died in June, 1700.[citation needed] His widow died in Roxbury, Nov. 15, 1710, aged fifty-three.[citation needed] Their Children: Thomas, born November 5, 1677,[2] married 1707, Sarah Beswick. Sarah, born Dec., 1679, married 1704, John Ingoldsbury, and (second) 1707, John Pewry. Joseph, baptized Nov. 20, 1681, died young. Elizabeth, born Sept 26, 1686, died young. James, born March 15, 1689/90.[3]
