About Thomas Vose

From the book "Robert Vose and His Descendants". Compiled by Ellen F. Vose published 1932 Boston, MA.
THOMAS4 VOSE (Lieut. Henry,3 Capt. Thomas,2 Robert1) was born in Milton, Feb. 4, 1708/9. He married there June 21, 1733, EXPERIENCE TUCKER, born in Milton, Sept. 22, 1710, the daughter of Ebenezer and Jemima (Daniels) Tucker. She died in Killingly, Conn., Jan.17, 1760. The death of Mr. Vose has not been ascertained.
Mr. Vose was a yeoman. He lived in the western part of Milton and on tax-lists of 1730 to 1733 was called Thomas, Jr., perhaps to distinguish him from his cousin Thomas, who was two years older. Between 1733 and 1736 he disposed of most of his heritage in Stoughton and Wrentham, left Milton, and in 1740 sold his entire right and claim in all his father's Milton and undivided Stoughton real estate.
On Apr. 13, 1738 he bought of Ephraim and Margaret Hide 150 acres in Pomfret, Conn., for £350. He was still a resident of Pomfret Apr. 4, 1745, when he bought 150 acres in Killingly, Conn., for £515. This was on the southwestern side of Curtis Pond, the abuttors being Capt. Noah Sabin, John Firman, Mr. Cotton, Robert Birch and Nicolas Mighill. In April, 1757, he bought nine and one half acres adjoining this lot. In February, 1758 he sold sixty acres, and in June, 1765 the remainder, all to John Fuller.
This is the last appearance of his name on record. He may have returned to his Pomfret home, but no probate record has been found n?r deed of sale of his Pomfret land. Hence the difficulty in locating his heirs with the exception of the sons Adam, Thomas, Ebenezer, and 1emuel.
