    • ********************************* Funeral Notice. FRIENDS are respectfully informed that the Remains of the LATE MR THOMAS WENNAN, Senr., will be removed from the Residence of his son (James), Cross Roads, THIS (Good Friday) AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock, for interment in the Moonta Cemetery.

OBITUARY. - Mr Thomas Wennan, an old resident of this district, died at the residence of his son, Mr Jas. Wennan, Cross Roads, last Wednesday evening after a somewhat lengthy illness. He was 77 years of age and a colonist of 50 years. The funeral will take place this (Good Friday) afternoon. (THE PEOPLE'S WEEKLY, MOONTA, FRIDAY, APRIL 16, 1897.)

MRS JAS. WENNAN and Family, and Mr Thomas Wennan desire to express their sincere thanks to their many friends who rendered assistance and for the many kindly expressions of sympathy received, during their recent bereavement. Especially do they wish to thank the Rev Parkinson and the singers.

We have been asked to correct a statement which appeared in our last issue regarding the late Mr Thos. Wennan. The deceased gentleman had only been ill for six days, and not for a considerable time, as stated.(THE PEOPLE'S WEEKLY, MOONTA, SATURDAY, APRIL 24, 1897)
