About Thomas White, of Sturton-le-Steeple
iv. Thomas White; a minor under 14 years of age at the time of his mother's 1599 will; no further record of him has been uncovered as the Sturton-le-Steeple parish records do not exist prior to 1629.
"Thomas Roger White" appears to be a bad-merge of two sons of Alexander White: Roger, who married twice in Leyden and had one known child, a daughter named Sarah, and Thomas, about whom very little is documented. It is known that Thomas survived both parents, but whether he lived to get married, and whom he married, is quite unclear.
There may be additional bad-merges involved, given the reference to Messing, Essex (completely different branch of the White megafamilies).
Thomas White appears to have missed the boat (the "Mayflower"). Whether this is because he died before it sailed, or because he had other things to do with his life, is unknown.
