Biography Widdrington was returned under age at the general election of 1660 for Morpeth, no doubt as a compliment to his father. He was appointed to no committees in the Convention, but when his uncle Thomas, 3rd Lord Fairfax, was elected to the Commons delegation to Charles II, Widdrington obtained leave to accompany him. He died of a violent fever at The Hague in the same month.3
