About Thomas de St. Leger

Inherited Fairlight in Sussex and the lordships of St Leger at Foucarmont and Bois Hubert in Normany France. He is mentioned in documents of the Priory at Lewes in Sussex and the Abbey of St. Martin, Battle. In 1150 he was a witness when his brother Reginald gave his manor at Cortesley to the priory at Lewes. At the same time he witnessed the gift of land and sea at Winchelsea by his brother Geoffrey to Battle Abbey. Helped to Found the Priory at Robertsbridge, Sussex.



He was in France when he succeeded his Uncle Rainaldi.
