In the Genealogical Notes published in 1904, Robert Baker Girdlestone, discovers that John Girdlestone of Kelling had two brothers, Richard and Thomas. [I've only put Thomas on the tree, not Richard, sorry]. Thomas (described in records as "Thomas Girdlestone Gentleman") left a will that was made and proved in 1731 — twelve years after the death of his brother John.
After providing for his own family, Thomas left an estate at Kelling to his nephews and nieces (his brother John's children) appointing John Lang as supervisor. see Robert Baker's remarks about him click here.
