Tillie B. Lerner, 84, died Sept. 29, 1994, in the Shalom Geriatric Center, where she lived. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Louis Chapel; burial in Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Mrs. Lerner was born in Poland and moved to this area in 1921. She was a sales associate for Lerner Shops at the Ward Parkway Shopping Center for 25 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom and the Vishay Club. Her husband, Jack Lerner, owner of the Lerner Cap Co., died in 1956. Survivors include a son, Gary Lerner, Overland Park; two daughters, Renee Swartz, Dallas, and Marcia Horwitz, Overland Park; a sister, Fannie Stein, Kansas City; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
