Timothy Hurlbut

Nathaniel Hurlbut was born in Wethersfield, in or about 1682, being 7 years old at time of his father's death in Sept., 1689. It is told, prob. with truth, that after his father's death he was taken by his Uncle Joseph Hurlbut of Woodbury, Ct., where he lived until manhood.[1]

His name appears upon the list of freemen, and he was taxed in Woodbury in 1712. He married first 19 Oct 1708, Sarah Jenner. She died June 10, 1722.[1] Children:[1]

2. Lydia, b, in Woodbury, Ct , 17 Feb 1712, bap. same month
3. Experience, b, in Woodbury, Ct., 30 Sept., 1714, bap. Oct., 1714. Per. she married in Southbury, 14 May, 1736, Christopher Fowler.
4. Timothy, b. in Woodbury, 2 July, 1716, bap. same mo
5. Sarah, b. in Woodbury, Ct., 4 July, bap. 5 July, 1719, d. in Woodbury, 3 June, 1727.

Nathaniel settled in Simsbury, Ct. (Turkey Hills) not later than 1725.[1] He married second Mary Halliday in Suffield, 9 Jan 1727.[1] Children:[1]

8. Thaddeus, bap. 21 Sep 1746

He died 12 May 1756. On 1 June, 1756. Admin, was granted on his estate to his widow Mary and Reuben Hurlbut, son of deceased.[1] He is buried at East Granby Cemetery.[1][2]
