Tore Ivarsen Bakke

Tore Iversen, born 1831, married to Olave Pedersdatter Nygaard b. 1871, bought Bakke no. 2 "Gjerane" in Hornindal, at the time part of Eid Parish. According to the Bygdebok, they emigrated to the US in 1871 with 4 children:

Iver Toresen, b. 1859 Peder Toresen, b. 1862 Synnøve Toresdatter, b. 1864 Jens Toresen, b. 1865

Tore is listed as Tore Iversen Tronstad. The family may have been using Bakke as family name.
