Toussaint Joffrion was born on 25 December 1675 in Verchères, (Verchères), New France.

Toussaint Joffrion was baptized on 14 January 1676 at the home of André Jarret. Present were his parents, Pierre and Marie, and Toussaint Lucas of Verchères and Marguerite Anthiaume, wife of André Jarret. Father Pierre De Caumont officiated. The surname on the entry of baptism reads "Geaufriau".

Marguerite Anthiaume is about 12 years old and the following year, at about 13 years of age, she would marry Andre Jarret Beauregard. She would then marry for a second time to Pierre Fontaine Bienvenu, another of our ancestors, in 1692 at the approximate age of 39.

                   He appears in the 1681 census living in Verchères with his family at the age of 6.

                   On 27 March 1692, Toussaint Joffrion contracted with Anne Mallet, widow of Louis Ducharme, "to do all the work that it is deemed possible to do."  

                    He witnessed the marriage of Louis Rouleau and Françoise Joffrion on 5 March 1696 in Montréal, New France.  

After the wedding of his sister Françoise to Louis Rouleau, there is no further record of Toussaint in Canada. He next appears in France when on 23 January 1708, he marries Susanne BEAU in the city of La Rochelle.
