About Tpr. Eric Tristram Gerald Harper
Eric Tristram Harper was the son of George and Agnes Harper, of 11, Cashel St., Christchurch; husband of Beatrice A. S. Harper, of 8, Kilmore St., Christchurch, New Zealand. Educated at Christchurch Boys' High School and St Patrick's College, Christchurch, New Zealand. Played cricket in the United Club's first eleven and later for the West Christchurch Club. He was a New Zealand sportsman, who is most notable for playing rugby union for the New Zealand national rugby union team and in 1905 became one of the Original All Blacks when he toured Britain and Ireland. Solicitor and Barrister. Killed in Action, Palestine.
