About Tristam Colket, III
Tristram Coffin Colket ’45 Published in Apr. 1, 1992, issue TRIS COLKET died Sept. 20, 1991, of cancer. Tris entered Princeton from the Pomfret School and was with us only briefly before serving with distinction as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne in the Pacific. He then took his degree from Haverford College in 1948, followed by a degree in psychology from Temple and a medical degree from Temple School of Medicine, He specialized in neurology and enjoyed a distinguished career, centered in the Malibu and Santa Monica areas of California.
Upon retirement from the medical profession, Tris devoted a great deal of his time to Alcoholics Anonymous and over the past two decades provided sponsorship and assistance to hundreds of persons in need of such counseling. He had a lifelong love for jazz music and was himself an accomplished pianist.
Tris is survived by a son Tristram IV; a daughter Leslie; two grandchildren; as well as by his sister Susan Rakestraw; and brothers George and Charles; to all of whom the Class extends its sympathy.
