I actually remember the Bris, I was kidding with my brother Teddy and pulled his yarmelke off. I had no idea what was happening in the bedroom or who was this rabbinical figure who was at the center of the crowd filling the one bedroom apartment. I had no idea what a circumcision event was; I never attended one.
My brother became furious that I was not respectful of men needing to have their heads covered. Then of course I heard my poor nephews cry! I think there were 50 people there and I was at the outer edge, still shorter than anyone else at 10 years of age!
