Hand written passed down family records indicate Alexander Morgan may have been married previously and that Elizabeth Myers Morgan was not the mother of his two oldest daughters.

The oldest two daughters were born before Alexander and Elizabeth's recorded wedding date, April 23, 1824.

Also, Elizabeth would have only been 10 years old when the oldest daughter Susan was born and 12 years old when Rebecca was born.
