About Uriah Church
He moved to Middlefield about 1784. In 1792 he bought lot 7, II Div. E. Prescott's Grant, of Geo. Griffin and in 1794 he bought lost 2 and 6 in the same division, from his brother William. He was a soldier in the Rev. War. His home was the house a mile north of Center, now (1924) owned by Mr. Gardner.
