Not to be confused with Uriah Hodges of Edgefield County, SC who was born circa 1796 in NC and moved to Edgefield County, SC.
Appears to be born or from Marlboro District as 1830, 1840, 1850, and 1860 census place him there. He was appointed as one of the managers of elections for Marlboro County in 1841 and is noted as one of the petitioners for the expansion and better definition of local power in 1860.
