About Uriah Humble, II
URIAH HUMBLE2(I) (JOHN1HUMBLE) was born Bet. 1700 - 1709 in Bucks Co. Pennsylvania, and died 1773 in Westmoreland County, PA.He married CHARITY KUSTER January 17, 1734/35 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of CONRAD KUSTER and SUSANNAH ADAMS.She was born 1716 in Pennsylvania), and died Aft. 1773 in Westmoreland County, PA. Notes for URIAH HUMBLE (I):
I believe that Uriah is the son of John and Charity Humble who applied for immigration from Ireland 12/27/1685. They actually left Ireland on 6/3/1687.I have found records on the I.G.I. that Uriah was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1709. I then find John in Hanover, VA in 1734 on the Everton Publishers Roots Celler 1 Screen 30529 of 43220. There is record of Uriah having been naturalized in Bucks Co. PA 9/25/1740 along with Martin Humble, possibly his brother or child. How this fits in I cannot tell you.
I next connect him in that I have found David Humble, born abt 1775, son of Jacob Humble, and grandson of Uriah Humble born in Montgomery County, North Carolina ( Information found in Family History Library of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and supplied to them by Ione Rita Smith who was born in 1920 and a descendant of David Humble).Jacob moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia, he left Virginia about the same time that Uriah returned to Pennsylvania and moved to Anson County, North Carolina.
He served in the Revolutionary War from North Carolina.Jacob was listed in the state census of North Carolina in Montgomery County 1784-1887 with six white males under the age of 21 and above the age of 60.Listed also in that same Census was John Humble with a wife and one female child. That John was John Phillip Humble, son of Jacob and possibly named after Jacob's grandfather (if I am correct) John Humble, shown in the I.G.I. as being born to Jacob and Mary abt 1763. He actually was born 10/09/1765 according to records kept by his family and passed down to Luke Duff Humble (deceased) in Arizona by his father William Penn Humble, son of Issac Humble, son of John Phillip.John Phillip's son Samuel had a son he named John Daniel (my g-g-grandfather)and there are John's sprinkled throughout the Humble line, down to my brother John.
