Valentine "Vol" Crawford

Valentine "Vol" T Crawford was the third of eight known children born to Joseph Daniel "Josiah" Crawford (1741–1831) and Elizabeth Isaacs (1746–1842). Although commonly known as "Vol", some records document the spelling of his name as 'Volantine'.

He married to Susannah "Susan" Ray (aka, Rhey) on 21 Jan 1800 at Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky. Note: name and birth year shown are as recorded in the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules Index for 1850-1880. Record ID# 197_71459 indicates Volantine Crawford was born in VA and age was 83 at death in 1860 in Estill County, KY. This matches the 1850 census data, indicating birth year of ~1877.
