Valerie Holmes (1949 - 2002)
Brief overview:
Valerie (53), was bludgeoned with a coffee table, by self-confessed mandrax addicted, Erwee du Toit, at her Sanddrift, Milnerton home on 22nd July 2002. He then stole her vehicle and drove away.
The following morning, neighbour, Jean Mirfin, discovered Valerie's body in the bedroom. She was naked on a blood-soaked mattress and partly covered by a duvet.
"There was also "a lot of blood" on the bedroom walls, she said." "I knew she was alive, she added. "She moved her head at one stage, very slightly."
Valerie was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital, where she died the next day due to the severe head injuries.
