Valarie Lynn Lukkarila (Marshall), 60, lifelong area resident, died Tuesday July 27, 2021 at University of Minnesota Hospital surrounded by family. She was born to Donald and Virginia Marshall.

Val was an avid poker and cribbage player. She loved being with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She had a passion for music, poetry and cooking.

Val is survived by her loving partner, DuWayne Kasper; children: Grant (Gina), Amanda (Fritz), Brianna (Andrew), and Tiana (Thomas); sisters: Donna (Robbie) and Sandy; brothers: Alan, Skip, Larry and Carl; grandchildren: Brittany, Elizabeth, Wendy, Logan, Karli, Kenzie, Sadie, Axel, Adam and Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine; the fathers of her daughters, Mike Lukkarila, Wayne Nelson and Rusty Manson; granddaughter, Arianna Lynn.

Burial will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery Brule, WI.
