About Vanessa Lachey

Former Miss Teen USA beauty, Vanessa Minnillo, recently completed her second season as the New York-based correspondent for ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, the #1 syndicated entertainment newsmagazine in the world. During her time with ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, Minnillo reported on the latest news regarding music, film, television and fashion.

As the winner of the 1998 "Miss Teen USA" pageant, Minnillo was also awarded the title and honor of Miss Congeniality 1998. She later went on to serve as a backstage correspondent for "The 50th Annual Miss USA Pageant" in 2001, a judge for "Miss Teen USA" in 2003, a host for “Miss Teen USA” in 2004, a judge for “Miss Teen USA” in 2007 and co-host of the 2007 “Miss Universe Pageant” in Mexico City.

In addition to serving as an Entertainment Tonight correspondent, Minnillo encountered overwhelming success serving as a co-host for MTV’s “Total Request Live” from 2003 to 2007, as well as hosting several MTV specials including "MTV's Prom Date," "2 Punk Rock 4 This: The Real World San Diego Reunion," “High School Stories” and "Spring Break Celebrity Fantasies." In 2002 Minnillo hosted the UK crossover hit "Top of the Pops" for The WB, and in 2005 she hosted the live finale of UPN's "The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott." While with MTV, Vanessa was responsible for interviewing the biggest names in music, movies and television on a daily basis.

In addition, Minnillo has appeared on numerous television sitcoms such as The WB's "Maybe it's Me" in 2002, CBS's "That's Life" in 2001 and NBC's "City Guys" in 2001. She also had a recurring role on CBS's "Bold and the Beautiful" and was one of the finalists in E!'s competition to find a replacement for Brooke Burke, previous hostess for "Wild On."

Born at Clark Air Force Base in Pampanga, her Dad an Officer in the Air Force, Minnillo grew up a military brat attending eight different schools in her first nine years, finally calling Charleston, SC home. Minnillo is currently bi-coastal, living in both New York City and Los Angeles, where she enjoys playing flag football, volleyball and tennis. Minnillo also loves to pal around with her new yorkie-pooh Wookie.
