Going by the Pierce Family Genealogy it list 2 wives. My copy from 1890s. If ancestry.com shows a document (Marriage/Death/ Childrens birth parents) that list Vasti  as not being married to William. PLEASE list it here for corrections. I have combined another tree to show David Cole as father.  I have No official documents on their marriage.  BUT  things do change .  

I do believe she married Captain William Newcomb, and was the daughter of David Cole and Jerusha Doane Young
