Vastina Pratt Smith SEDGWICK — Vastina Pratt Smith, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 14, at St. Bernards Medical Center at Jonesboro. She was a lifetime resident of Lawrence County and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Smith; parents, Herbert and Elsie Dixon Pratt; and brothers, Dewell Pratt, H.V. Pratt and J.L. Pratt. Survivors include a son, Lonnie Smith and wife Katie of Hoxie; a daughter, Connie Carr of Hoxie; grandchildren, Jennifer Carr of Hoxie, Owen Smith and wife Deborah of Jonesboro, Amy Pollard and husband Billy of Hoxie, Valerie Bratcher and husband John of Springdale, Amanda Prestidge and husband Adam of Powhatan; great-grandchildren, Devyn Pollard of Hoxie, Hannah Smith of Jonesboro, John Bratcher of Springdale, Andrew Prestidge of Powhatan, Rebecca Bratcher of Springdale and Alexander Prestidge of Powhatan; and sisters, Pauline Alls of Missouri and Pat Permenter of Quitman. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Lawrence Memorial Park under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Bobby Wade officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight in the funeral home |
