"Veazey Price is the first of the Prices to arrive in Kentucky. He, his wife, Nancy, and their large family migrated from Baltimore County, Maryland to Mason County, Kentucky about 1795. Records show that he was in Mason County in 1798. Veazey is mentioned in his grandmother, Katherine Beard Veazey's will in 1775 as receiving one negro slave and some personal property. Records of Veazey and Nancy Ann Barton Price are incomplete. One descendant of the family said that they had 20 children. All are believed to have been born in Baltimore or Frederick County, Maryland, except Benjamin (born 29 January 1797) who was born in Mason County, Kentucky.
