He is supposed to have died with five children (and one on the way), according to his obituary here: https://books.google.com/books?id=E_hbAAAAcAAJ&pg=PA358#v=onepage&q.... I think one of them may have been Friedrich Veit Kaula, who is recorded several years in a row in this journal as observing the yortsayt of his parents: http://sammlungen.ub.uni-frankfurt.de/cm/periodical/pageview/2153932. Also, the obituary claims he died at the age of 43 (or is it 48? I can't tell), which is different from what Geni has. Unfortunately, the online family tree for the Kaula family -- https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaulla_(Unternehmerfamilie) -- does not list Veit at all.
