Verners father has never been verified. His mother refused to reveal the identity of him, but we know for sure she worked at a place where the royal family resided parts of the summer. When she got pregnant she had to leave her place there, and Verner were adopted by some others. After resigning her work she suddenly got money to buy a small shop. Where the money came from is not mentioned by her either. When Verner got old and lived at a home for elders, the staff there - unknowing his story - used to call him for "V-gurra", as he was a spitting image of the old King Gustaf V. Based on his history in relation to his obvious look as King Gustaf V, we in the family consider him as a unconfirmed son of the king. :-)
