His father owned Funeraria Salazar, which was located in Binondo, Manila. Funeraria Salazar would eventually become Funeraria Quiogue. His descendants would sell the service in 2006.
Vicente would leave the family business to put up his own funeral and mortuary service which would eventually become known as Funeraria Nacional. He started by buying half of the undertaking business of Robert V. Dell (b 8/16/1874) in 1908. By 1910, he was operating a funeral parlour La Nueva Funeraria Paz (which would become the object of copyright infringement litigation in 1910 by Petronilo Lim del Rosario, who had established La Funeraria Paz in 1900) along Calle Paz (now Claro M. Recto St.) in Santa Cruz, Manila.This would eventually become Quiogue's Funeral Parlors, located along Avenida Rizal in Manila.
