Prodić family inhabiting Strazevnik-Praznice on the island Brač. In the XV century they moved to Pučišća. Family has several priests. Marko Prodić has been schoolmate of Marko Marulić (father of Croatian Literature) with whom he kept correspondence. Bernandin Prodić has been first parson of Pučišća at 1566 from this family.
Vicko Prodić is born after his brother when his mother married Bernardin, so Vicko becomes a legitimate son and Hector remain illegitimate. At that time it was not possible to become legitimate retroactively by act of marriage like it is possible in present time. Prodić family became extinct with Vicko in 1663. Vicko had been a writer of island Brač history.
