She married, firstly, Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, son of Edward John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer and Hon. Frances Ruth Burke Roche, on 16 September 1989 at Great Brington, Northamptonshire, England.

She and Charles Edward Maurice Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer were divorced on 3 December 1997. She married, secondly, Jonathan Aitken circa 8 January 2005 at South Africa.

Catherine Victoria Lockwood usually went by her middle name of Victoria. From 16 September 1989, her married name became Spencer. She gained the title of Countess Spencer on 29 March 1992. From circa 8 January 2005, her married name became Aitken.
