About Victoria Dagmer Schollaert
Victoria Feland Schollaert, 81 of 811 N. 18th St., Billings, Montana died Saturday June 8, 1991 in her home from cancer. Burial in the Sims Cemetery, Sims, North Dakota.
She was born August 11, 1909 at Sims, North Dakota, a daughter of Theodore and Thodine Feland.
She grew up in Sims, North Dakota and graduated from Almont High School in 1927. As a young woman, she enjoyed riding horses and writing poetry. She was fluent in Norwegian and taught Sunday school in Sims, North Daktota.
On August 10, 1934, she married Lloyd Schollaert, also of Sims, North Dakota. To this union, five children were born. In 1940, they moved to Montana. Lloyd died in 1947.
Victoria had been confirmed in the Sims Lutheran Church. Following the death of her husband, she became a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Billings, Montana. Relying on faith, courage and hard work, Victoria raised their five children. She was a compassionate, caring woman who never tired of helping others.
She is survived by five her children, Ramona Buechler, Elaine Wildin, Virginia MacSween, Charlotte O'Dowd and Lloyd Schollaert.
And 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother, Palmer Feland of Santa Rosa, California; a sister, DeLoris Morrell of Mobile, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings.
