Daigle, Villier Adam

Villier Adam Daigle was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and a good friend and kind man. He was a resident of Donaldsonville for the last four years and lived in Napoleonville for the last 96 years. He was retired from Gulf Oil and was born at Four Mile Bayou in Napoleonville. Born on Set. 21, 1909 and was 99 years old. He graduated from this life on Feb. 3, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales after a short illness. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville on Saturday, Feb. 7 at 1 p.m.
He is survived by a daughter and son in law, Judy and Nolan LeBlanc Sr. of Donaldsonville. A daughter in law, Darlene Daigle of Sulphur. Seven grandchildren, especially Nolan LeBlanc Jr. of Donaldsonville and Nathan LeBlanc of Thibodaux. 12 great grandchildren including one who touched his heart, Jordan LeBlanc of Donaldsonville. Eight great great grandchildren. He is also survived by a step granddaughter who never forgot him, Cynthia Cavalier of Clearwater, Florida. Two brothers and one sister: Louis (Bat) and Victor (Jake) Daigle and Josephine Duval, all of Morgan City. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Doris D. Simoneaux, a son Nolan (Oray) Daigle and a son in law, Lawrence Simoneaux. Also brothers: Polite, Joseph, Placide, Nelson, and William. Three sisters: Victorine Bailey, Mary Blanchard, and Alma Hebert. Also a former wife and mother of his children, Beaulah B. Daigle. A special thanks to his best friend Cade St. Germain of Napoleonville and the staff at D'Ville Nursing Home in Donaldsonville. Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux in charge of arrangements.
