Vincent Clement Duman, Jr.

This monument, His Tombstone is an upright metal cross painted black. On top of the cross is a white guitar cut from metal. Hanging from four separate chains from the cross beams are names cut from metal. The names are: "Lori, Lonnie, Pat, Kim, Vincent III"

KAMIAH Vincent C. Duman, 55, a retired barber, died at his Kamiah residence Thursday August 2, 1990. The cause of death is pending medical certification. He had been in declining health for several years.

He was born July 1, 1935, to Vince and Anna Bogli Duman at Cottonwood. He lived at Cottonwood until 1945, when the family moved to Mt. Angel, Ore. He attended schools at Cottonwood and Mt. Angel. In 1952, he graduated from the Modern Barber College at Portland, Ore.

He married Cathy Normo July 31, 1954, at Mt. Angel. They later divorced.

He returned to Cottonwood in the early 1960s and worked as a barber. He later moved to Oregon and worked as a carpenter and in construction. He returned to Idaho several years ago and made his home at Kamiah.

He remarried in 1963. That marriage also ended in divorce.

Duman was an accomplished musician.

He was communicant of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Lorie Follette of Pullman; four sons, Lonnie Duman and Patrick Duman, both of Boise, Vince Duman Jr. of Clarkston and Kim Duman of Colorado; his mother, Anna, of Silverton, Ore.; two brothers, Harold Duman and John Duman, both of Cottonwood; six sisters, Regina Wilber of Salem, Ore., Agnes Terhaar of Corvalis, Ore., Frances Faulhaber of Mulino, Ore., Bettie Kuther of Ferdinand, Catherine Brockamp of Philomath, Ore., and Patricia Seubert of Shelby, Mont.; and eight grandchildren.

His father, three brothers and a sister died previously.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Cottonwood with the Rev. Joseph Muha officiating. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at the Cottonwood Catholic Cemetery.
