Funeral services for Mrs. Vergie Lentz, 55, Hillsboro 1, were to be held today at 2 p.m. at Sulfur Springs Baptist Church, near Hillsboro, Rev. Willie Parker and Rev. Vernon Rich officiating.

Burial was to be in Morris Chapel cemetery, Mutual Service in charge. Mrs. Lentz died Thursday at 10:40 a.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Neal Simpson, Moulton. The deceased had been ill six months.

She is survived by her husband, J.W. Lentz; two sons, Elwood of Delaware and Noah of Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Jimmy Stevens of Hartselle; three brothers, Jess and J.N. Gillespie, both of Decatur and Claude Gillespie of Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. T.I. Holland of Hillsboro and Mrs. J.W. Clark of St. Louis, Mo.

Nephews were to be pallbearers, while nieces were to have charge of flowers.
