Mr. Meynard graduated from Texas A. and M. University, joined Buckeye Tools Corp.· at Dayton, Ohio, and was made Vice President-Marketing. After Buckeye merged with · at Dayton, Ohio, and was made Vice President-Marketing. After Buckeye merged with Rockwell Int. of Pittsburgh in 1961, he was made Marketing Manager, Air Tools, for Rockwell, with headquarters in Pittsburgh. Active in civic affairs, he was elected president of Compressed Air and Gas Institute, a national professional organization; was chairman of the United States Noise Abatement Committee, and served as a deacon in the Presbyterian church. After being transferred to Columbia, S.C. in 1976, he served on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina State Museum. He retired in 1985 and died at Columbia in 1990, but was buried in Hillside Cemetery at Cuero, Tex. He is listed in past editions of Who's Who in the Midwest and Who's Who in Commerce and Industry.

Mrs. Meynard graduated from Baylor University and was a reporter for the Waco News-Tribune and the Dayton, Ohio Herald before her marriage. Among her civic activities, she served on the boards of the Dayton Council on World Affairs, the Three Rivers Arts Festival at Pittsburgh, and the South Carolina State Museum at Columbia.

She is a member of the Junior League, DAR, National Society of Colonial Dames, and is listed in past editions of Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in the South and Southwest, and Who's Who of American Women. She is the author of In God's Name, a History of the Whitman Family (Library of Congress), and of The Venturers, the Earle, Hampton, and Harrison Families published by Southern Historical Press in 1981.
