Mary Earle Popman

Mr. Popham served in the Marine Crops during World War II and graduated from the University of Houston as a petroleum engineer. He was associated with Magabar and Brown Oil Tools in Houston and Continental Oil Co. (CONOCO) at Ponca City, Okla. He died of a heart attack at age 48 while on a hunting trip in Canada.

Mrs. Popham attended Baylor University and was an interior designer in Los Angeles, New York City and Houston before her marriage. In 1960, she founded Mary Earle Interiors of Oklahoma at Ponca City, where she also served as president of the Ponca City Art Museum, the Soroptimist Club, and on the vestry of the Episcopal church. She moved to Houston in 1980 and conducts Mary Earle Interiors in that city.
