About Vivian Lucille Van Dyke
From Find A Grave.com: To a wonderful little great auntie who was loved and will be cherish with good memories for many years to come. One of those cherished memories occurred on a Sunday many years ago (1960's) when you came to Salt Lake City with your sister and brother-in-law, Arleen and Jack Dockter. You came down for one of your visits with the family to see your sister Norma Jackson, my grandmother. Our family tradition was to go visit our grandparents every Sunday and spend some time with them. This was one such occasion that you were there. My little brother was about four or five I think, and he decided to go up to you and pull what he thought was a funny face. After doing so, he asked if you could pull a funny face. You did what looked like you rolled your tongue around the inside of your mouth, and after a minute, you smiled at him. But in the mean time, you had removed your teeth and your smile was toothless. He took a step backwards and the look on his face was with no doubt one of shock and surprise. It was such a funny reaction, we all just laughed as hard as we could. For my brother Michael, it was enough that he stayed away from you the rest of the night. You felt bad you had scared him, that was not your intention, but we still laugh about that night and think of it as a great visit. Thank you for helping us to laugh and be happy. You gave us a lot of your best self.
