Vjekoslava Sumić arrived at Fremantle, Western Australia per the vessel, "SS Otranto" on 26 May 1936; from Naples via Ports. On board with Ante Mijat, Mijo Glavaš (Glavas) and Marko Jujnovich.
According to Panel 111 of the WA Welcome Wall:
Vjeka, as she was known, came to Australia sponsored as a bride by Simun Covic. She was a trained tailoress and came seeking a new start away from the hardships in the "old country". Hopefully able to help her mother and five surviving siblings.
