About WONG Bee Ho, 黃美好(黃典嫻)
Founded the Overseas Chinese Girls School in Singapore 華僑女學 in 1905
Wong Bee Ho, second daughter of Wong Ah Fook, who was known as Wong Din Sin (Huang Tien Hsien) in educational circles. She was the founder and headmistress of the Huaqiao Girls School on New Bridge Road established in 1905.

Grand Ma Bee Ho was a devout Buddhist and teacher, and she founded the Singapore Buddhist Association. As a pioneer educationalist , she founded the a school for girls at New Bridge Road called Huaquiao Girls School. As their headmistress she is remembered for her dedication and her modesty of her dress and serious demeanor.

黄亚福的女儿黃美好(黃典嫻)是東南亞地區華僑教育的先驅者之一. 她在1905年在新加坡新桥路創辦了一所女子学校,取名为'華僑女子學校',並擔任校長. 中國清朝政府要到1907年才公佈章程條例 落實女子教育政策,黃典嫻卻比清朝政府還早兩年就已在新加坡華人社會創辦女子學校。可惜,这所学校只开办了十年,不知何故被关闭了。
