Walter J. Ahrendt

OBIT Star Herald, Luverne MN 1948-Funeral services for Walter J Ahrendt, 57, life-long resident of Rock Co, were held Monday at St John's Evangelical Lutheran church.Internment at Maplewood .Pallbearers were six nephews, Virgil Ahrendt, Kenneth Ahrent, Gordon Ahrendt, Ben Hemme, Melvin Hemme and Harvey Dibbern. Mrs. Ahrendt died at the McKennan hospital, Sioux Falls last Thursday. He had been ill for two weeks with a heart ailment and was taken to the hospital the day prior to hi death. Born in Rock Co Mr Ahrendt was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ahrendt. HE was born July 20, 1890 on the farm northwest of Luverne where he had resided his entire life.

He was married to Agnes Hemme Dec 19,1917 at Luverne They were the parents of one son, Orland who resides at the home place. Then list of survivors widow son 3 grandchildren 4 brothers John of Hardwick, George of Inwood , Albert and Louis, both of Luverne and 5 sisters Mrs. Emma Boldt, Mrs. Lucy Lutjens and Mrs. Chas Schneekloth, all of Luverne, Mrs. Ella Pokett, Gurnee Ill and Mrs Anna Wieditz of Hartley, Iowa.
