Walter Collins

A J. Walter Collins was a large landowner, 389 1/2 acres in Holly Springs township and a J. W. Collins owned 65 acres in Buckhorn township. Both took their mail at Enno post office, so may be same person. Branson's Directory of Raleigh with Wake County Farmers, 1891

A Joseph Walter Collins, b. Aug. 2, 1859 and d. Feb. 18, 1897 is buried in same cemetery with others of this family and is likely person.

Lots of Joseph Collins in old land records, including a 1902 church trustee, 1914 bought a city lot while single, 1934 Joseph Wilber Collins unmarried.

Another 1933 Joseph W. Colllins, living in Baltimore MD with Sidney Wade Collins transfers land in Wake co. to Mattie A. Collins, which adjoins an Alford owner, and is described as the old J. J. Jones tract, and later the W. L. H. Alford tract, about 50.7 acres.

There is a Mattie b. 1882 who married JD Collins in Holly Springs b. 1872, and had children including Wilber and Wade. from the 1910, 1920 censuses.
