About Walter Heron
Known as Walter Heron of Silkstone. Said to have inherited his mother's property, but he didn't live to inherit his father's.
Married Alice, daughter of Sir Nicholas de Hastings and his wife Emeline. They had one daughter, Emeline Heron, who became sole heiress of her father and her grandfather, and took the estates to the Lords Darcy of Knaith.
(Except that Ford and other parts of the Heron estates had either been settled on Walter's younger brother Roger, or entailed to heirs male, and so they went to the cadet branch whch continued the Heron name)
