About Walter Löw-Beer
Walter Loew-Beer studied at a technology school in Berlin and then he studied at the University of Leeds, England.
He was a manufacturer and one of the owners of the Aaron & Jacob Loew-Beer Sons’ firm and it's technical director, he was also in charge of buying wool. Under him, the factory canteen served subsidised meals, which in its day was innovative.
He was a polymath, a technical innovator, a linguist, a botanist, a sportsman particularly a mountaineer, spoke Latin fluently and also had studied law. He became Vice President of The International Woollen Federation and a foreign member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in England.
