He was also trained as, and worked as, a Russian-English interpreter in the four-power commission in Vienna after WWII. and he has been active in work for concentration camp victims claiming compensation for psychological injury and also on behalf of the Royal College of Psychiatry and the World Psychiatric Association on the abuses of Psychiatry in the former Soviet Union.
