Walter Stone

Origins

Simon Stone was born in Ardleigh, co. Essex about 1450. He had an estate in Ardleigh called "Walles" and an estate in the adjoining parish of Great Bromley called "Goodenes".Five succeeding generations of Stones lived in Great Bromley, also called Much Bromley. Simon Stone died between 1506 and 1510. His original will is in the Stone Collection in the British Museum in London.

Simon Stone married about 1480 Elizabeth. Four known children; David, Walter, Michael, and William
