Wanda Earline Shackelford was born November 2, 1925 in Oklahoma, daughter of Earl J. Shackelford and Audrey "Audria" (Riley) Shackelford.

On July 10, 1944, she married Richard Field Sims in Enid, Oklahoma. They became the parents of Richard Earl, Raymond Michael, LuAnn and Dedra Su Sims.

On October 9, 1997, Wanda E. (Shackelford) Sims, age 71, died in Dallas with burial in Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.
