About Werner Beda Brodkorb
Mr J. A. Clark has just received a letter from W. A. Brame, Esq.. Imperial German Consul, Melbourne conveying intelligence to the effect that Mr Brodkorb, well-known to most Tauranga people, died in the Melbourne Hospital last October. Information is requested respecting Werner Brodkorb, a native of Germany, a labourer, about forty-eight years of age, 6ft. high, fresh complexion, light-brown hair, grey eyes. He joined the Armed Constabulary on the 8th October, 1868, and resigned his appointment on the 12th May, 1877, at Patea. He is inquired for at the instance of his father, through the Rev. J. W. C.
