About Wero Oura, Cheroenhaka Nottoway Iroquois

Instead of having the children of the Cheroenhaka indenture, this group outsmarted the British Colonial system by hiring Dennis McClendon, Esq to represent them and they self indentured their own. They did not send their children to Lawranceville to Ft Christanna, as a result. When it became an issue, they sold out and moved to SC where followed their self terming, "Chief Men of the Nottoway" as noted by historian Forest Hazel who reported them going to Chesterfield Co and then you find them down to Kingston Co Court Petition For

A More Fair Court in 1809. Back in August 10, 1715 when the Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) King and 8 Great Men (Nottoway Chief Men) were invited to the Capital in Williamsburg, VA and put in irons and chains for three days until they consented to send 12 of their children to attend school at Fort Christiana in Brunswick County. On August 13, 1715 the chains were removed and they were ordered released. Those children included the ydna Scott Named native QM3 ydna of the line of Exum Scott whose forebearers identified as "Churrah". For the ones put in irons, we can surmize that would be John Turner and George Skipper and Francis Scott's father of the Battle Beach "Churrah" or Cheraw.=

== December 10, 1719 a list of names of 8 Nottoway and 12 Meherrin children were given to the Colonial Council in Williamsburg, Virginia to attend school at Fort Christiana. We know that the Scott children attended with some Saponi, as well, the school being run by teacher Griffin of the Anabaptist New Sweeden faith and many attendees then served in the Colonial Wars and 7 Years War.

On August 7, 1735, thirteen or fourteen Chief Men of the Nottoway sold twenty-three parcels of land from the Circular Tract. George Skipper's signature on many of the sells is documented along with Richard Kirby as Tripartite Indenture as it is called in the pact. They hired Dennis McClendon, Esq. to help them to self indenture, thereby keeping their youth apprenticing within their control. It was British law that all natives be indentured til the age of 21.

(His genetic atDna trail goes back to Spanish claimant descendants from all the major port cities, near and very far, even into Mayan country over to the Azores).
