Wilbur Eugene Bachman

Sterling - W. Eugene Bachman, age 83, of Orrville, died Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the home of his daughter Pam and Travis Miller, following a period of declining health. He was born on March 11, 1937, in Doylestown, Ohio, to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Snyder) Bachman.

Eugene graduated from Doylestown High School with the class of 1956 and married Kathryn Marty on November 10, 1956. He was a member of the Rittman Apostolic Church for over 62 years.

He was employed by Morton Salt, Rubbermaid, Swiss Woodcraft, and Stoller Fundraising. He had a hobby of building toy barns for relatives, friends, and charity.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Larry (Donna) Bachman of IL, Linda (David) Hartzler of Sterling, Judy Musselman of Orrville, Greg (Val) Bachman of TN, Pamela (Travis) Miller of Sterling, and Jolene (Nate) Mastnick of Chillicothe; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren. He is survived by a sister, Sandra (Charles) Kutz of North Lawrence, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Delores (Richard) Troyer and Roberta (Stanley) Sommers, an infant sister, and son-in-law Michael Musselman.

Friends may call from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Friday, February 26, 2021, at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall, 11484 Steiner Rd., Rittman, or from 9:30-10:15am on Saturday morning at the church.

Services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Rittman Apostolic Christian Church, 10699 Steiner Rd. Rittman, with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will take place at the Apostolic Cemetery in Rittman.
